This is an opportunity for children aged 9 to 15 to spend the week with us learning to cook a lovely variety of dishes. They will have great fun and learn skills for life. And we’ll gently encourage the cautious ones to try new dishes and flavours!
Each day we start by making a different skillful snack for breakfast/mid-morning break – such as pancakes with fruit, poached egg on toast, croque madame…
Then we make lunch such as burger and sweet potato wedges with salad, lasagne with handmade pasta, mild chicken curry with homemade naan…
After lunch – which we will eat outside in the fresh air and follow with a walk across the golf course to the beach and back – we will bake something delicious to take home. It could be a Swiss roll, or chocolate brownies, savoury muffins or tear and share pesto bread…
This summer cooking school will suit children who have some interest in cooking and want to take it further. They do not need to have experience or already feel confident in their cooking skills – we will guide and support them all the way so that they can enjoy the experience and absorb the many skills they will practise.
