Knife Skills for the Kitchen

This afternoon we help you get confident preparing vegetables using a cooks’ knife. We will teach you techniques including the slice, chop, back-slice and rock-chop. You will learn to confidently and efficiently prepare mirepoix, the basis for so many dishes. When you use a cook’s knife efficiently and confidently, meal preparation becomes so much quicker and easier!

We will turn the results of our chopping and slicing into a delicious Tuscan bean soup. Take it home to share or sit down to enjoy here.

Please arrive by 2.20pm and wear comfortable shoes. Bring an airtight container to take your soup home in if you don’t want to eat it here.
