Do you have a budding young chef waiting to get creative in the kitchen? We offer regular Saturday baking and cooking sessions for young people aged from 8 upwards (or age 5+ if accompanied by an adult).
Today we will make pumpkin fritters and a sweet chilli sauce; then a delicious squidgy pear and chocolate pudding. The fritters are a recipe from South Africa, incorporating plenty of skills and a different way to eat pumpkin which is surprisingly delicious. We’ll try them with cinnamon sugar too, it’s a versatile dish.
We start at 2.00pm am prompt. All ingredients are included. Children aged 8 and over do not need to be accompanied by an adult so long as their behaviour is appropriate. Parents who prefer to stay are welcome to sit in the restaurant/bar area.
Please bring airtight containers to take home your two fritters; we will cook the pudding in foil dishes but a stronger container to carry these home in would be useful so please bring one.
