This Authentic Malaysian cooking class is presented by Nona who hails from the beautiful landscape and rich cultural mix that is Malaysia. Due to its location and history the unique Malaysian cuisine combines Malay, Chinese, Indian and other influences. Gentle spices abound to make this an interesting and exciting way of cooking. Our menu today includes dishes suitable to combine for a dinner party or to incorporate individual dishes into your regular home cooking. There will be plenty of knife skills included in the lesson and Nona makes a point of creating authentic flavours incorporating local, easily accessible ingredients.
We will make the following dishes:
- Ikan Pais – white fish roasted in banana leave with spices
- Lontong mee – turmeric coconut vegetable soup with noodles
- Kueh dadar – a pandan coconut crepe
