At Chequers Kitchen Cookery School in Kent, we choose ingredients which are fresh, natural, and sourced locally, where possible. Have the Chequers all to yourselves for groups of 12 to 32. Here are some menu examples and we are happy to provide a no-obligation quote for your event. Prices depend on the number of courses and number of guests. We are happy to work together to create a menu that suits you.

Pizza & Pasta Parties

 They’re not just for children, adults can have cookery parties too!

Bring your friends, colleagues or family members to make delicious pizzas from scratch, guided by our Chef. We will teach you to make your pizza base (a skill well worth having, you’ll make delicious pizza) and you will have fun learning techniques to make and shape your dough. Choose your toppings and then sit down to enjoy your pizzas with a fabulous salad followed by dessert.

Or choose a pasta party and learn to make pasta from scratch. We will turn that into delicious beef or vegetable lasagnes and add a dessert and salad for a satisfying meal.

At £28 per person for groups of 12-16 participants this is a great value evening or lunchtime.event. All ingredients, tuition, tea and coffee are included. You can purchase wine, beers, spirits or soft drinks from our licensed bar.


Demo & Dine Events

If you are looking for a private venue with a great ice breaker, our Demo & Dine events are very popular and get your event off to a lively start. Enjoy a 30 minute cookery demonstration followed by your meal. Choose your menu in advance and rest assured your group of friends, family or colleagues will have a fabulous time and an evening or lunch to remember.


Cook & Dine Events

Those who want to have fun cooking with Pieter at the start of their evening can Cook & Dine with us. Arrive an hour before you want to eat and get stuck in with the preparations. It gets the party off to a flying start as you work in twos and threes to prepare your starters. Those who don’t want to join in can talk among themselves with a drink or look on with interest. If you’re interested in private venue with a twist, try our cook and dine experience.

  • We recently participated in one of the Chequers Kitchen Demo and Dine events. Pieter gave a very entertaining demonstration which was followed by a great meal. The best "malva" pudding I ever had by far! The wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and use of sharing platters contributed to make this a truly wonderful evening.

  • We organised a dinner with 30 friends at the Chequers last week during the Royal Cinque Ports Open Golf week. Absolutely delicious food and very special atmosphere. All the guests were amazed [...] The canapes were outstanding especially the crab, duck confit was best ever. Special mention for the madelaines and citrus cream…….unbelievable!   • I organised a work day out for 50 of us - we went clay pigeon shooting nearby then headed up to Chequers for drinks and food. Pieter and Gary made the organisation so easy, the food was fantastic (our group are a tough crowd to please) and the team at Chequers couldn't have been nicer. The terrace is just gorgeous on a sunny day, I would return to Deal just to visit Chequers. Excellent!
